Just give them the money!

It happens as commonplace practice in Vietnam when you see someone asking for money. Or is that really so? Well just me or somehow I do see them everyday.

You may find thing easy by leaving some change. And well yeah of course just one time a day, one here mean yah, you did have a good deed today. That one deed is more than enough, to whisper yourself that you are better than ‘the guys’ (those leave nothing, or unluckily has no change… if it really does). So proud.

The very next day, you suddenly find that person who earned you yesterday. One more time? Maybe… Or maybe not. “Just give the money!” spoke out by the face of your mate (if you are alone, don’t worry, sure you will imagine that it is). Then you give him/her the money whispering “I one more time help you with the sweetest kindness, isn’t so? “. So proud.

Then the next day you meet that person again? No that not always happens, ’cause hardly can you passby one place three days in a row. But well I’m quite sure that just for one more time regardless how long it will be, you will soon realize that this asking money is actually a job. Then you apply some basic calculation from math in elementary school to find out that… yeah this really is a job. Those beggers are actually not surviving but living on the very easy money given by your sweetest kindness. So true.

Next day you may feel losing trust on begger and show your ignorance until one day (not for long) you still give one some money. Said by your alter ego “he is really poor and poor, well in both contexts”. Then you again realize it’s not like so.

Ok I know it is messy and pointless, but still, no matter how the situation is, you always do it right by helping needy ones from the angle of benevolence. So just give them the money, you jerk!
